New changes

I am sure you all noticed the new designs on my pictures and blog header. I have some more new changes coming soon.  Huge thanks to Toni over at Charlie Lou Designs for making me new watermarks for my blog photos! She is great and so talented.  She is a photographer/designer and has the cutest little photo overlays, printables, and much much more! Head over and check her out! Lots of fun! The little bird design that was featured on all of the birth photos is so adorable! You will be seeing more of the watermarks she made for me, on all of the photos I post here on the blog! Thanks again, Toni!!

Birth Photography

All I have to really say here is this was one experience that I will never ever forget! This family is so special to my husband and I! What a privilege it was to be the photographer attending this birth. I witnessed first hand how beautiful and calming and easy home-birth can be! I have to say, being in that room was a powerful experience. She herself, is a Doula, and handled labor and delivery like a rock star! I hope to become a Doula one day, so this was a great experience for me. You can read the mother's blog here. Beautiful!

This is what she requested a couple of times, pressure around her waist.

The little miss getting all measured and weighed. Daddy loving on his new baby girl.

The midwife (left), and the midwife intern (right), recapping the experience. This ended up being the intern's first solo delivery since baby decided to come quicker than expected! She was calm, cool, and collected throughout the whole experience. Very impressive!

Big brother meeting baby sister for the first time. Sweet moment.

I caught this picture of dad creating an image, getting ready to update the Facebook status! :)

Johnson Family

This is my lovely sister-in-law and her family and in-laws! This was my first shoot since moving to Utah. I am so excited because Utah has so many fun and (new to me) locations. This old barn was a great location and the tall wheat/grass/whateveryoucallit was gorgeous. I just love these two little nephews of mine too! Aren't they the most handsome little guys?
