New changes

I am sure you all noticed the new designs on my pictures and blog header. I have some more new changes coming soon.  Huge thanks to Toni over at Charlie Lou Designs for making me new watermarks for my blog photos! She is great and so talented.  She is a photographer/designer and has the cutest little photo overlays, printables, and much much more! Head over and check her out! Lots of fun! The little bird design that was featured on all of the birth photos is so adorable! You will be seeing more of the watermarks she made for me, on all of the photos I post here on the blog! Thanks again, Toni!!

Birth Photography

All I have to really say here is this was one experience that I will never ever forget! This family is so special to my husband and I! What a privilege it was to be the photographer attending this birth. I witnessed first hand how beautiful and calming and easy home-birth can be! I have to say, being in that room was a powerful experience. She herself, is a Doula, and handled labor and delivery like a rock star! I hope to become a Doula one day, so this was a great experience for me. You can read the mother's blog here. Beautiful!

This is what she requested a couple of times, pressure around her waist.

The little miss getting all measured and weighed. Daddy loving on his new baby girl.

The midwife (left), and the midwife intern (right), recapping the experience. This ended up being the intern's first solo delivery since baby decided to come quicker than expected! She was calm, cool, and collected throughout the whole experience. Very impressive!

Big brother meeting baby sister for the first time. Sweet moment.

I caught this picture of dad creating an image, getting ready to update the Facebook status! :)

Johnson Family

This is my lovely sister-in-law and her family and in-laws! This was my first shoot since moving to Utah. I am so excited because Utah has so many fun and (new to me) locations. This old barn was a great location and the tall wheat/grass/whateveryoucallit was gorgeous. I just love these two little nephews of mine too! Aren't they the most handsome little guys?

It is no secret that it seriously pays to have friends to trade services with! Thanks for doing my hair, Jill! I need you in Utah now!  I have such beautiful friends with beautiful families and this one is no exception! They all make my pictures look so good! :) I miss my Texas friends dearly!

A few months ago, I was able to photograph one of my good friends and her family. Before I let you see the pictures, you must understand that the little miss was in full force two year old! I don't think you can tell one bit! She can sure turn on her sass, but her adorable charm as well and I just love that little girly so much! But I think we got some great pictures! They are such a beautiful little family, don't you agree!? Anyways, sorry M family for taking so long to give you your spotlight, but here it is...

To start off, I don't know why it's been this long since I have posted anything on here. What a shame. I have been very busy, though. My husband graduated recently with 2 bachelors and his Doctorate, and we have relocated to Utah. We are enjoying life here so far! We miss Texas, but we have plenty of family and friends here, as well as the beautiful mountains! So that kind of explains why I have had a slow season. But hopefully soon I will be ready to get things going again with photography. On the other hand... aren't these two adorable? This was a double shoot from a few months ago, for big brother's two year old pictures, and Easter pictures for both of them! They loved this location, with all the train tracks, and the train of course! Perfect spot for two little boys! They were both so good too! Such smiley little guys!

Bless this little family's hearts! It was so CoLd this particular day. They braved it with me, and we had fun. This location is always an interesting one with the little ones tho... they ALWAYS want to jump right in the water. Hence the picture of him finally getting to touch the water. One of these days I will learn and take families with small children somewhere safe! Thanks for trusting me guys! I love meeting new people! This little guy is related to this little guy. Thanks for the referral and I hope to see you guys again!
